The Perfect Perth Bucks Party Starts Here!

GETTING AROUND

Leave the car behind when traveling through Perth. With one-way streets (never marked very clearly), pricey car parking, and a city centre that caters more to the Central Area Transit (CAT) bus services, you do not want to get stuck behind a wheel. Hop on a bus within the Free Transit Zone and get anywhere in the CBD you need without hassle. Keep an eye on the time, though! Most of these free bus services stop running around 7 pm every night, with the Blue CAT running until midnight on the weekends. If you’re planning on the bucks to go a little later, the trains run until 2am on Friday and Saturday.

When all else fails, Uber and taxi services are not only exclusive (no strangers on the bus to ruin your vibe) they are easy, taking all the stress out of trying to find your way around Perth. And did we mention this way you can party all night long? Or at least until the clubs close up for the night.

CULTURE VULTURE

If your buck loves his AFL, head to the new stadium to watch the mighty West Coast Eagles take flight. The NBL is growing rapidly in Perth, and you can see the live court action when you go check out the Perth Wildcats. If you consider yourself more of a cricket guy, go check out a match at the WACA.

While the wildlife may not be the top draw for your buck’s party, many tourists flock to Western Australia for the creatures big and small. Head to Rottnest island to catch a smiling Quokka, or book yourself on a while watching tour hoping to find a great big blue whale.

When nursing your hangover from the big night before, a swim always helps to clear your head. Trudge out to Scarborough and Cottesloe beaches! They are bound to be your second favourite part of the trip (if only you could remember the first…).

BABY WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT

Small bars have found huge success in Perth. Spend your bucks night hopping around, trying to check out as many as you can. The city is full of indie rock venues, unique spots, outdoor bars and Irish pub. Night life in Perth can be hit or miss, some nights each venue you check out can be packed, and sometimes there’s more bars out there than punters!

If you’re looking for a dance, check out the clubs in Northbridge, Subiaco, or Fremantle. But make sure you have your ID on you, and a shirt with a collar. Most venues will need to scan you in and can have quite strict dress code.
